These all persevered unanimously in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
beginning from his baptism by John, until the day in which he was taken up from us, must there be chosen with us a witness of his resurrection, even one of these.

saying, What shall we do with these men? for that an acknowledged miracle hath been wrought by them is evident to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.
Then Ananias, hearing those words, sunk down and expired: and great dread fell upon all who heard these things.
And great awe fell on all the Church, and on all who heard these things.
Now when they heard these words, both the priest and captain of the temple and the chief priests were in the utmost perplexity concerning these things, what could be the meaning of it.
