Now he that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is still in darkness: whereas, he that loveth his brother, abideth in the light, and is in no danger of stumbling.

since we know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren: he, that loveth not his brother, remaineth in death. Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. But if any one, who hath the good things of the world, seeth his brother in want, and shutteth up his bowels from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? My little children, let us not love in word, or in tongue only, but in deed and in truth.

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is from God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He, that loveth not, knoweth not God: for God is love. Herein is love; not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent his Son to be a propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

Jesus answered them and said, The doctrine that I teach is not mine, but his that sent me. If any man desire to do his will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.
