Do I now seek the favor of men, or of God? Am I striving to please men? If I were still pleasing men, I would not be a servant of Christ. Verse Concepts

Having much affection for you, we were well pleased to impart the good news of God to you and also to share our lives with you. You have become very dear to us. Verse Concepts

Then they come to you, as if they are still my people, and they sit down in front of you. They listen to what you say, but they do not do it. They say that they love me, but in their hearts they chase dishonest profits. To them you are nothing more than a singer with a beautiful voice who sings love songs or a musician who plays an instrument. They listen to your words, but they do not do them.

Those on the rock are those who receive the word with joy. These have no root. They believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away. Verse Concepts

I have asked one thing from Jehovah. This I will seek: to live in the house of Jehovah all the days of my life, to look at Jehovah's beauty and search for an answer in his temple. Verse Concepts

The decisions of Jehovah are true. They are completely fair. They are more desirable than gold, even the finest gold. They are sweeter than honey, even the drippings from a honeycomb.
