I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spoke, they did not hear: but they did evil before my eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.

Because I have called, and you refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;

But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would have none of me.

Therefore will I number you to the sword, and you shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, you did not answer; when I spoke, you did not hear; but did evil before my eyes, and did choose that in which I delighted not.

And now, because you have done all these works, says the LORD, and I spoke unto you, rising up early and speaking, but you heard not; and I called you, but you answered not;

My God will cast them away, because they did not hearken unto him: and they shall be wanderers among the nations.

And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.

And you will not come to me, that you might have life.

But to Israel he says, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and contrary people.


And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.


And she said, Behold, your sister-in-law has gone back unto her people, and unto her gods: return you after your sister-in-law.

And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long do you halt between two opinions? if the LORD is God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.

Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will you that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus who is called Christ?



Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will you also go away?



I have sent also unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Return you now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and you shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but you have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me.

And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.

Say unto them, As I live, says the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn you, turn you from your evil ways; for why will you die, O house of Israel?


And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready.












For Moses had said, Consecrate yourselves today to the LORD, even every man upon the cost of his son, and his brother; that he may bestow upon you a blessing this day.

The gold for things of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and for all manner of work to be made by the hands of craftsmen. And who then is willing to consecrate his service this day unto the LORD?


If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and fit for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.




And immediately he called them: and they left their father Zebedee in the ship with the hired servants, and went after him.

And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles;

The day following Jesus went forth into Galilee, and found Philip, and said unto him, Follow me.



And many people shall go and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

For there shall be a day, that the watchmen upon mount Ephraim shall cry, Arise, and let us go up to Zion unto the LORD our God.

And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts: I will go also.

And Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah, and wrote letters also to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to the house of the LORD at Jerusalem, to keep the passover unto the LORD God of Israel.


But where shall wisdom be found? and where is the place of understanding? Man knows not the price thereof; neither is it found in the land of the living. The deep says, It is not in me: and the sea says, It is not with me. read more.
It cannot be gotten for gold, neither shall silver be weighed for the price thereof. It cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx, or the sapphire. The gold and the crystal cannot equal it: and the exchange of it shall not be for jewels of fine gold. No mention shall be made of coral, or of crystal: for the price of wisdom is above rubies. The topaz of Ethiopia shall not equal it, neither shall it be valued with pure gold. From where then comes wisdom? and where is the place of understanding? Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all living, and concealed from the fowls of the air. Destruction and death say, We have heard the fame of it with our ears. God understands its way, and he knows its place. For he looks to the ends of the earth, and sees under the whole heaven; To make the weight for the wind; and he apportions the waters by measure. When he made a decree for the rain, and a way for the lightning of the thunder: Then did he see it, and declare it; he prepared it, yea, and searched it out. And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.

Happy is the man that finds wisdom, and the man that gets understanding. For the gain from it is better than the gain from silver, and the profit thereof than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things you can desire are not to be compared unto her. read more.
Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honor. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is everyone that retains her. The LORD by wisdom has founded the earth; by understanding has he established the heavens. By his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew. My son, let not them depart from your eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion: So shall they be life unto your soul, and grace to your neck. Then shall you walk in your way safely, and your foot shall not stumble. When you lie down, you shall not be afraid: yea, you shall lie down, and your sleep shall be sweet.

Hear, you children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding. For I give you good doctrine, forsake not my law. For I was my father's son, tender and the only one in the sight of my mother. read more.
He taught me also, and said unto me, Let your heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live. Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither turn away from the words of my mouth. Forsake her not, and she shall preserve you: love her, and she shall keep you. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all your getting get understanding. Exalt her, and she shall promote you: she shall bring you to honor, when you do embrace her. She shall give to your head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to you. Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of your life shall be many. I have taught you in the way of wisdom; I have led you in right paths. When you go, your steps shall not be hindered; and when you run, you shall not stumble. Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is your life.


Wisdom cries aloud outside; she raises her voice in the open square:

Does not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?

She has sent forth her maidens: she cries upon the highest places of the city,






So he departed from there, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth: and Elijah passed by him, and cast his mantle upon him.




But what think you? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work today in my vineyard.


Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, says the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest; and be strong, all you people of the land, says the LORD, and work: for I am with you, says the LORD of hosts:


For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to watch.
