For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
When I saw among the spoils a beautiful Babylonian garment, and two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold of fifty shekels weight, then I coveted them, and took them; and, behold, they are hid in the earth in the midst of my tent, and the silver under it.

But where shall wisdom be found? and where is the place of understanding? Man knows not the price thereof; neither is it found in the land of the living. The deep says, It is not in me: and the sea says, It is not with me.read more.

Happy is the man that finds wisdom, and the man that gets understanding. For the gain from it is better than the gain from silver, and the profit thereof than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things you can desire are not to be compared unto her.
Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.
Through wisdom is a house built; and by understanding it is established: And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.
And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of your times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD is his treasure.
Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.
