But if you fulfill the royal law as expressed in this scripture, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself," you are doing well.
You must not take vengeance or bear a grudge against the children of your people, but you must love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.
The second is: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."
Love does no wrong to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
But we who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak, and not just please ourselves. Let each of us please his neighbor for his good to build him up.
For the whole law can be summed up in a single commandment, namely, "You must love your neighbor as yourself."

For I can testify that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not in line with the truth. You believe that God is one; well and good. Even the demons believe that -- and tremble with fear. But would you like evidence, you empty fellow, that faith without works is useless? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? You see that his faith was working together with his works and his faith was perfected by works. And the scripture was fulfilled that says, "Now Abraham believed God and it was counted to him for righteousness," and he was called God's friend. You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone. And similarly, was not Rahab the prostitute also justified by works when she welcomed the messengers and sent them out by another way? For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.

To show partiality is terrible, for a person will transgress over the smallest piece of bread.
