Humbleness » The reward for humbling yourself
However if they confess their sins and the sins of their ancestors and the treacherous things they did to oppose me, I will oppose them and bring them into the lands of their enemies. JEHOVAH APPEARED TO SOLOMON THAT NIGHT. He said to Solomon: I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for myself as a Temple for sacrifices. I may shut the sky so that there is no rain, or command grasshoppers to devour the countryside, or send an epidemic among my people. However, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, search for me, and turn from their evil ways, I will hear their prayer from heaven, forgive their sins, and heal their country.

He told you, O lowly man, what is good and what Jehovah requires of you. You should display justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with your God!

Jehovah will surely comfort Zion. He will look with compassion on all her ruins. He will make her deserts like Eden and her wastelands like the garden of Jehovah. Joy and gladness will be found in her along with thanksgiving and the sound of singing. Listen to me, my people; hear me, my nation. The law will go out from me. My justice will become a light to the nations. My righteousness is near. My salvation is on the way and my arm (power) will bring justice to the nations. But my salvation will last forever! My righteousness will never fail. Hear me, you who know what is right, you people who have my law in your hearts. Do not fear the reproach of men or be terrified by their insults.
