When he saw many of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, "O generation of vipers, who hath taught you to flee from the vengeance to come? Bring forth therefore the fruits belonging to repentance: And see that you think not to say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham for our father': for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. Even now is the axe put unto the root of the trees: so that every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. The father loveth the son, and hath given all things into his hand. He that believeth on the son, hath everlasting life. And he that believeth not the son, shall not see life: but the wrath of God abideth on him."

Because of the labour of his soul, he shall see and be satisfied. With his knowledge, he, being just, shall justify my servants: and that a great number. And he shall bear their iniquities.
