For, as the Father hath life in Himself, so also He gave to the Son to have life in Himself; and He gave Him authority to execute judgment, because He is the Son of Man. Marvel not at this; because there is an hour coming, in which all who are in their tombs shall hear His voice, and come forth; those who did good, to the resurrection of life; but those who practiced evil, to the resurrection of judgment. I can of Myself do nothing: as I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous; because I seek not My Own will, but the will of Him Who sent Me. If I testify concerning Myself, My testimony is not true. There is Another Who testifieth concerning Me; and I know that the testimony which He testifieth concerning Me is true. Ye have sent to John, and he has testified to the truth. But the testimony I receive is not from man; but these things I say, that ye may be saved. The Pharisees, therefore, said to Him, "Thou testifiest concerning Thyself; Thy testimony is not true."
