Pursue love, and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy.

See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone.

Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.

So then let us pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding.

Justice, and only justice, you shall follow, that you may live and inherit the land that the LORD your God is giving you.

And I will judge between sheep and sheep. And I will set up over them one shepherd, my servant David, and he shall feed them: he shall feed them and be their shepherd. Then Peter said in reply, "See, we have left everything and followed you. What then will we have?" Jesus said to them, "Truly, I say to you, in the new world,when the Son of Man will sit on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands, for my name's sake, will receive a hundredfold and will inherit eternal life. read more.

Jesus, seeing that he had become sad, said, "How difficult it is for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God! For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God." Those who heard it said, "Then who can be saved?" read more.

Therefore the LORD was very angry with Israel and removed them out of his sight. None was left but the tribe of Judah only. Judah also did not keep the commandments of the LORD their God, but walked in the customs that Israel had introduced. And the LORD rejected all the descendants of Israel and afflicted them and gave them into the hand of plunderers, until he had cast them out of his sight. When he had torn Israel from the house of David, they made Jeroboam the son of Nebat king. And Jeroboam drove Israel from following the LORDand made them commit great sin. The people of Israel walked in all the sins that Jeroboam did. They did not depart from them, until the LORD removed Israel out of his sight, as he had spoken by all his servants the prophets. So Israel was exiled from their own land to Assyria until this day.

Let him not trust in emptiness, deceiving himself, for emptiness will be his payment.

Beloved, do not imitate evil but imitate good. Whoever does good is from God; whoever does evil has not seen God.

Whoever works his land will have plenty of bread, but he who follows worthless pursuits lacks sense.

Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness will find life, righteousness, and honor.

And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
