Meekness, self-control: against such there is no law.

With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

A soft answer turns away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

By long patience is a prince persuaded, and a gentle tongue breaks the bone.

Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

Likewise, you wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conduct of the wives; While they behold your chaste behavior coupled with fear. I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that you walk worthy of the vocation by which you are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

But you, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in the spirit of meekness; considering yourself, lest you also be tempted.

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asks you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good behavior in Christ.

But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherishes her children:

Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, showing all meekness unto all men.

And be you kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you.
