Count it all joy, my brothers, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.

that the genuineness of your faith, which is more precious than gold that perishes even though it is tested by fire, may be found to result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ?

What is man, that you should magnify him, that you should set your mind on him, that you should visit him every morning, and test him every moment?

The LORD examines the righteous, but the wicked and him who loves violence his soul hates.

Moses said to the people, "Do not be afraid, for God has come to test you, and that his fear may be before you, that you won't sin."

who fed you in the wilderness with manna, which your fathers did not know; that he might humble you, and that he might prove you, to do you good at your latter end:

you shall not listen to the words of that prophet, or to that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proves you, to know whether you love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. The LORD said to Gideon, "The people are yet too many; bring them down to the water, and I will try them for you there: and it shall be, that of whom I tell you, This shall go with you, the same shall go with you; and of whoever I tell you, This shall not go with you, the same shall not go. So he brought down the people to the water: and the LORD said to Gideon, "Everyone who laps of the water with his tongue, as a dog laps, him you shall set by himself; likewise everyone who kneels down on his knees to drink." The number of those who lapped, putting their hand to their mouth, was three hundred men: but all the rest of the people kneeled down on their knees to drink water.read more.
The LORD said to Gideon, "By the three hundred men who lapped will I save you, and deliver the Midianites into your hand; and let all the people go every man to his home."

However concerning the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, who sent to him to inquire of the wonder that was done in the land, God left him, to try him, that he might know all that was in his heart.

By reason of the exceeding greatness of the revelations, that I should not be exalted excessively, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me, that I should not be exalted excessively. Concerning this thing, I begged the Lord three times that it might depart from me. He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness." Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me.

Jesus therefore lifting up his eyes, and seeing that a great crowd was coming to him, said to Philip, "Where are we to buy bread, that these may eat?" This he said to test him, for he himself knew what he would do.

And just then a Canaanite woman came out from those borders, and started shouting, saying, "Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David. My daughter is severely demonized." But he did not answer her a word. His disciples came and begged him, saying, "Send her away; for she cries after us." But he answered, "I was not sent to anyone but the lost sheep of the house of Israel."read more.
But she came and worshiped him, saying, "Lord, help me." But he answered, "It is not appropriate to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs." But she said, "Yes, Lord, but even the dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters' table." Then Jesus answered her, "Woman, great is your faith. Be it done to you even as you desire." And her daughter was healed from that hour.

For a woman, whose little daughter had an unclean spirit, having heard of him, immediately came and fell down at his feet. Now the woman was a Greek, a Syrophoenician by race. She begged him that he would cast the demon out of her daughter. But he said to her, "Let the children be filled first, for it is not appropriate to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs."read more.
But she answered him, "Yes, Sir. Yet even the dogs under the table eat the children's crumbs." He said to her, "For this saying, go your way. The demon has gone out of your daughter." And when she went away to her house, she found the child lying on the bed, the demon having left.

He, perceiving it, said to them, "Why do you reason that it's because you have no bread? Do you not perceive yet, neither understand? Are your hearts hardened? Having eyes, do you not see? Having ears, do you not hear? Do you not remember? When I broke the five loaves among the five thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up?" They told him, "Twelve."read more.
"When the seven loaves fed the four thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up?" They told him, "Seven." He asked them, "Do you not yet understand?"

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.

You have proved my heart. You have visited me in the night. You have tried me, and found nothing. I have resolved that my mouth shall not disobey.

Examine me, LORD, and prove me. Try my heart and my mind.

Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts.

Let us examine and search our ways, and return to the LORD.

Test your own selves, whether you are in the faith. Test your own selves. Or do you not know as to your own selves, that Jesus Christ is in you??unless indeed you are disqualified.

But let each man test his own work, and then he will take pride in himself and not in his neighbor.

but test all things; hold firmly that which is good.

But if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay, or stubble; each man's work will be revealed. For the Day will declare it, because it is revealed in fire; and the fire itself will test what sort of work each man's work is. If any man's work remains which he built on it, he will receive a reward.read more.
If any man's work is burned, he will suffer loss, but he himself will be saved, but as through fire.

Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and test me now in this," says the LORD of hosts, "if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough for.

Of Levi he said, "Your Thummim and your Urim are with your godly one, whom you proved at Massah, with whom you strove at the waters of Meribah;

They tempted God in their heart by asking food according to their desire.

Do not harden your heart, as at Meribah, as in the day of Massah in the wilderness,

Jesus said to him, "Again, it is written, 'You shall not test the Lord, your God.'"

Jesus answering, said to him, "It is said, 'You shall not tempt the Lord your God.'"

The Pharisees came, testing him, and saying, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any reason?"

Pharisees came to him testing him, and asked him, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?"

But Peter asked her, "How is it that you have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? Behold, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out."

Now therefore why do you tempt God, that you should put a yoke on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?

do not harden your hearts, as in the provocation, like as in the day of the trial in the wilderness, where your fathers tested me and challenged me, and saw my works for forty years.

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
