For thou wilt not leave my soul in Sheol; neither wilt thou suffer thy Merciful One to see corruption.

And I beheld, and behold nerves upon them and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no spirit in them. Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the spirit, prophesy, son of man, and say to the spirit, Thus hath the Lord GOD said: Come from the four winds, O spirit, and breathe upon these slain, and they shall live. And I prophesied as he commanded me, and the spirit entered into them, and they lived and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.

Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not brought to life, unless it dies first; and that which thou sowest, thou sowest not the body that shall be, but bare grain: it may be of wheat or of some other grain;

The same day the Sadducees came to him, who say that there is no resurrection, and asked him,

For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, neither angel, nor spirit; but the Pharisees confess both.

Then certain of the Sadducees came, who deny that there is any resurrection, and they asked him,

No one can come to me unless the Father who has sent me draws him, and I will raise him up in the last day.

And this is the Father's will who has sent me, that of all whom he has given me I should lose nothing but should raise it up again in the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, That every one who sees the Son and believes in him may have eternal life, and I will raise him up in the last day.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except the grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it abides alone; but if it dies, it brings forth much fruit.

But someone will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come? but God gives it a body as it has pleased him, and to each seed its own body. And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

Then certain philosophers of the Epicureans and of the Stoics encountered him. And some said, What will this babbler say? others, He seems to be a setter forth of new gods, because he preached unto them Jesus and the resurrection.

Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you that God should raise the dead?
