Therefore don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

So the disciples came and woke Him up, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to die!”
But He was in the stern, sleeping on the cushion. So they woke Him up and said to Him, “Teacher! Don’t You care that we’re going to die?”
They came and woke Him up, saying, “Master, Master, we’re going to die!” Then He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waves. So they ceased, and there was a calm.
Immediately Jesus reached out His hand, caught hold of him, and said to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?”
Aware of this, Jesus said, “You of little faith! Why are you discussing among yourselves that you do not have bread?
Then the Lord will scatter you among all peoples from one end of the earth to the other, and there you will worship other gods, of wood and stone, which neither you nor your fathers have known. You will find no peace among those nations, and there will be no resting place for the sole of your foot. There the Lord will give you a trembling heart, failing eyes, and a despondent spirit.

Then He said to me, “Son of man, I am going to cut off the supply of bread in Jerusalem. They will anxiously eat bread rationed by weight and in dread drink water by measure. So they will lack bread and water; everyone will be devastated and waste away because of their iniquity.
Then say to the people of the land: This is what the Lord God says about the residents of Jerusalem in the land of Israel: They will eat their bread with anxiety and drink their water in dread, for their land will be stripped of everything in it because of the violence of all who live there.
Refrain from anger and give up your rage;
do not be agitated—it can only bring harm.
But Martha was distracted by her many tasks, and she came up and asked, “Lord, don’t You care that my sister has left me to serve alone? So tell her to give me a hand.” The Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and upset about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has made the right choice, and it will not be taken away from her.”
You will keep the mind that is dependent on You
in perfect peace,
for it is trusting in You.
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you.
The man who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence indeed is the Lord, is blessed.
He will be like a tree planted by water:
it sends its roots out toward a stream,
it doesn’t fear when heat comes,
and its foliage remains green.
It will not worry in a year of drought
or cease producing fruit.
For the mind-set of the flesh is death, but the mind-set of the Spirit is life and peace.
Cast your burden on the Lord,
and He will sustain you;
He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.
Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses every thought, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
If I say, “My foot is slipping,”
Your faithful love will support me, Lord.
When I am filled with cares,
Your comfort brings me joy.
