Then said she, Sit still, my daughter, until thou know how the matter will fall; for the man will not rest, until he have finished the thing this day.

And I thought to disclose it unto thee, saying, Buy it before them that sit here, and before the elders of my people. If thou wilt redeem it, redeem it: but if thou wilt not redeem it, then tell me, that I may know; for there is none to redeem it besides thee; and I am after thee. And he said, I will redeem it.

Now Samuel did not yet know Jehovah, neither was the word of Jehovah yet revealed unto him.

And see; if it goeth up by the way of its own border to Beth-shemesh, then he hath done us this great evil: but if not, then we shall know that it is not his hand that smote us; it was a chance that happened to us.

Is it not wheat harvest to-day? I will call unto Jehovah, that he may send thunder and rain; and ye shall know and see that your wickedness is great, which ye have done in the sight of Jehovah, in asking you a king.

And Saul said, Draw nigh hither, all ye chiefs of the people; and know and see wherein this sin hath been this day.

And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spake unto the men; and Eliab's anger was kindled against David, and he said, Why art thou come down? and with whom hast thou left those few sheep in the wilderness? and that all this assembly may know that Jehovah saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is Jehovah's, and he will give you into our hand.

And David sware moreover, and said, Thy father knoweth well that I have found favor in thine eyes; and he saith, Let not Jonathan know this, lest he be grieved: but truly as Jehovah liveth, and as thy soul liveth, there is but a step between me and death.

If he say thus, It is well; thy servant shall have peace: but if he be wroth, then know that evil is determined by him.

And Jonathan said, Far be it from thee; for if I should at all know that evil were determined by my father to come upon thee, then would not I tell it thee?

Then Saul's anger was kindled against Jonathan, and he said unto him, Thou son of a perverse rebellious woman, do not I know that thou hast chosen the son of Jesse to thine own shame, and unto the shame of thy mother's nakedness?

And David said unto Ahimelech the priest, The king hath commanded me a business, and hath said unto me, Let no man know anything of the business whereabout I send thee, and what I have commanded thee: and I have appointed the young men to such and such a place.

what prayer and supplication soever be made by any man, or by all thy people Israel, who shall know every man the plague of his own heart, and spread forth his hands toward this house:

hear thou in heaven thy dwelling-place, and do according to all that the foreigner calleth to thee for; that all the peoples of the earth may know thy name, to fear thee, as doth thy people Israel, and that they may know that this house which I have built is called by my name.

that all the peoples of the earth may know that Jehovah, he is God; there is none else.

And the woman said to Elijah, Now I know that thou art a man of God, and that the word of Jehovah in thy mouth is truth.

Know now that God hath subverted me in my cause , And hath compassed me with his net.

Be ye afraid of the sword: For wrath bringeth the punishments of the sword, That ye may know there is a judgment.

Ye say , God layeth up his iniquity for his children. Let him recompense it unto himself, that he may know it:

Behold, I know your thoughts, And the devices wherewith ye would wrong me.

Have ye not asked wayfaring men? And do ye not know their evidences,

And thou sayest, What doth God know? Can he judge through the thick darkness?

I would know the words which he would answer me, And understand what he would say unto me.

Why are times not laid up by the Almighty? And why do not they that know him see his days?

These are of them that rebel against the light; They know not the ways thereof, Nor abide in the paths thereof.

In the dark they dig through houses: They shut themselves up in the day-time; They know not the light.

For the morning is to all of them as thick darkness; For they know the terrors of the thick darkness.
