'Death' in the Bible
For there is no remembrance of you in death. In Sheol, who will give thanks to you?
And he has prepared for him weapons of death. He has made his arrows fiery shafts.
Be gracious to me, O Yahweh. See my suffering from [those who] hate me, [you who] lift me up from the gates of death,
Consider [and] answer me, O Yahweh my God. Give light to my eyes lest I sleep [the sleep of] death,
The ropes of death encircled me, and streams of ruin overwhelmed me.
The ropes of Sheol surrounded me; [the] snares of death confronted me.
My strength is dry like a potsherd, and my tongue is sticking [to] my jaws; and you have placed me in [the] dust of death.
"What gain [is there] in my {death}, in my going down into [the] pit? Will [the] dust praise you? Will it tell of your faithfulness?
to deliver their soul from death and to keep them alive in famine.
that this [is] God, our God forever and ever. {He himself} will guide us until death.
Like sheep they are destined to Sheol; death will shepherd them. But the upright will rule over them in the morning, and their forms [will be for] Sheol to consume, [far from] his lofty abode.
Let death deceive them. May they descend to Sheol alive, because evil [is] in their home [and] {heart}.
because you have delivered my soul from death. [Have you] not [kept] my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?
Our God [is] a God of deliverances, and to [the] Yahweh the Lord belong escapes from death.
For there are no pains up to their death, and their bodies [are] {healthy}.
the anger of God rose against them, and he killed some of the stoutest of them, even the young men of Israel he caused to bow down [in death].
He cleared a path for his anger. He did not spare them from death but handed their life over to the plague.
Let the groaning of the prisoner come before you. According to the greatness of your {power}, spare [the] children [appointed to] death.
What man can live [on] and not see death? Can he deliver his life from the {power} of Sheol? Selah
Their soul abhorred all food, and they approached [the] gates of death.

For you have rescued me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling.
Costly {in Yahweh's view} [is] the death of his faithful [ones].
Yah has disciplined me severely, but he did not consign me to death.
