'Water' in the Bible
Your silver has become dross,your beer is diluted with water.
For you will become like an oakwhose leaves are withered,and like a garden without water.
Observe this: The Lord God of Hostsis about to remove from Jerusalem and from Judahevery kind of security:the entire supply of bread and water,
All of them will come and settlein the steep ravines, in the clefts of the rocks,in all the thornbushes, and in all the water holes.
None will harm or destroy anotheron My entire holy mountain,for the land will be as fullof the knowledge of the Lordas the sea is filled with water.
You will joyfully draw waterfrom the springs of salvation,
Then the fishermen will mourn.All those who cast hooks into the Nile will lament,and those who spread nets on the water will shrivel up.
Bring water for the thirsty.The inhabitants of the land of Temameet the refugees with food.
You saw that there were many breaches in the walls of the city of David. You collected water from the lower pool.
I, Yahweh, watch over it;I water it regularly.I guard it night and dayso that no one disturbs it.
And I will make justice the measuring lineand righteousness the mason’s level.”Hail will sweep away the false refuge,and water will flood your hiding place.
It will be like a hungry one who dreams he is eating,then wakes and is still hungry;and like a thirsty one who dreams he is drinking,then wakes and is still thirsty, longing for water.So it will be for all the many nationswho go to battle against Mount Zion.

The Lord will give you meager bread and water during oppression, but your Teacher will not hide Himself any longer. Your eyes will see your Teacher,
Each will be like a shelter from the wind,a refuge from the rain,like streams of water in a dry landand the shade of a massive rock in an arid land.
he will dwell on the heights;his refuge will be the rocky fortresses,his food provided, his water assured.

The poor and the needy seek water, but there is none;their tongues are parched with thirst.I, Yahweh, will answer them;I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.
I will open rivers on the barren heights,and springs in the middle of the plains.I will turn the desert into a pool of waterand dry land into springs of water.
The animals of the field will honor Me,jackals and ostriches,because I provide water in the wilderness,and rivers in the desert,to give drink to My chosen people.
For I will pour water on the thirsty landand streams on the dry ground;I will pour out My Spirit on your descendantsand My blessing on your offspring.
The ironworker labors over the coals,shapes the idol with hammers,and works it with his strong arm.Also he grows hungry and his strength fails;he doesn’t drink water and is faint.
They did not thirstwhen He led them through the deserts;He made water flow for them from the rock;He split the rock, and water gushed out.
They will not hunger or thirst,the scorching heat or sun will not strike them;for their compassionate One will guide them,and lead them to springs of water.
Why was no one there when I came?Why was there no one to answer when I called?Is My hand too short to redeem?Or do I have no power to deliver?Look, I dry up the sea by My rebuke;I turn the rivers into a wilderness;their fish rot because of lack of waterand die of thirst.
as fire kindles the brushwood,and fire causes water to boil—to make Your name known to Your enemies,so that nations will tremble at Your presence!
