Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me.
The mind of sinful flesh (fleshly thought) means death; but the mind influenced by the Spirit gives life and peace.
Let your appearance be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible apparel of a meek and quiet spirit. This is of great value in the sight of God.
This is not so for the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away. Therefore the wicked will not stand (be upright) in the judgment. The sinners will not stand (endure) in the assembly of the righteous.
The wicked sees this and becomes angry. He angrily grits his teeth and disappears. The hope of the wicked will perish (be destroyed).
There is no peace for the wicked, says Jehovah.
But the wicked are like the troubled and restless sea, whose waters cast up mire and dirt. My God has said: There is no peace for the wicked.
He said: This is the rest with which you may cause the weary to rest, and, this is the refreshing. Yet they would not listen.
