And Abraham went a pace into his tent unto Sara, and said, Make ready at once three pecks of fine meal; knead it, and make cakes."

The fourth day they arose early in the morning, and the man stood up to depart. But the damsel's father said unto his son-in-law, "Comfort thine heart with a morsel of bread and then go your way."

And he rose up early the fifth day to depart. Then said the damsel's father, "Comfort thine heart": and so made him tarry until after midday. And they did eat both of them together.

Set about me cups of wine, comfort me with apples; for I am sick of love.

Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

And, lo, they brought unto him a man sick of the palsy, lying in his bed: and when Jesus saw the faith of them, he said to the sick of the palsy, "Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee."

And many of the Jews were come to Martha and Mary, to comfort them over their brother.

The Jews then, which were with her in the house and comforted her, when they saw Mary that she rose up hastily, and went out: followed her, saying, "She goeth unto the grave, to weep there."

These words have I spoken unto you that in me ye might have peace. For in the world shall ye have tribulation: but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."

Then had the congregations rest, throughout all Jewry and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified, and walked in the fear of the Lord; And multiplied by the comfort of the holy ghost.

And they went out of the prison and entered into the house of Lydia, and when they had seen the brethren, they comforted them and departed.

That is: that I might have consolation together with you, through the common faith, which both ye and I have.

by whom we have a way in, through faith, unto this grace wherein we stand and rejoice in hope of the praise that shall be given of God. Neither do we so, only: but also we rejoice in tribulation: For we know that tribulation bringeth patience, read more. patience bringeth experience, experience bringeth hope, and hope maketh not ashamed: for the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts, by the holy ghost, which is given unto us.

Whatsoever things are written aforetime, are written for our learning: that we, through patience and comfort of the scripture, might have hope.

Blessed be God the father of our Lord Jesus the Christ, father of mercy, and the God of all comfort, which comforteth us in all our tribulation, insomuch that we are able to comfort them which are troubled, in whatsoever tribulation it be, with the same comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. read more. For as the afflictions of Christ are plenteous in us: even so is our consolation plenteous by Christ. Whether we be troubled for your consolation and salvation, which salvation showeth her power in that ye suffer the same afflictions which we also suffer; or whether we be comforted for your consolation and salvation: yet our hope is steadfast for you inasmuch as we know how, that as ye have your part in afflictions, so shall ye be partakers of consolation.

If there be among you any consolation in Christ, if there be any comfortable love, if there be any fellowship of the spirit, if there be any compassion of mercy:

I trust in the Lord Jesus for to send Timothy shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know what case ye stand in.

as ye know how that we exhorted and comforted, and besought every one of you, as a father his children,

We desire you brethren warn them that are unruly, comfort the feeble minded, forbear the weak, have continual patience toward all men.
