Some of the disciples from Caesarea went with us also, bringing with them Mnason from Cyprus, an early disciple, with whom we were to live [while in Jerusalem].

Now while they were trying to kill him, news reached the colonel of the regiment that all Jerusalem was in a ferment.

And there happened to me, while going and approaching Damascus about noon, suddenly to flash forth from heaven a great light around me.

And it came to pass, that, when I was come again to Jerusalem, even while I prayed in the temple, I was in a trance;

And [while] they were screaming and throwing off [their] cloaks and throwing dust into the air,

For the Sadducees hold that there is no resurrection and that there are no angels or spirits, while the Pharisees believe in all three.

The next day the soldiers allowed the horsemen to go on with Paul, while they [themselves] returned to headquarters.

[While there] I was not observed arguing with anyone or trying to stir up a crowd [to riot] in the Temple or in the synagogues or [anywhere else] in the city.

and while I was doing this, some Jews from Asia found me ritually purified in the temple, without a crowd and without any uproar.

Or else let these same here say, if they have found any evil doing in me, while I stood before the council,

or about this one statement I cried out while standing among them, ‘Today I am being judged before you concerning the resurrection of the dead.’”

And [while] he was discussing about righteousness and self control and the judgment that is to come, Felix became afraid [and] replied, "Go away for the present, and [when I] have an opportunity, I will summon you."

And asked a favor of him, to Paul's injury--to have Paul brought to Jerusalem. All the while they were plotting to make away with him on the road.

while Paul made the defense that, “Neither against the Jewish law, nor against the temple, nor against Caesar have I sinned at all.”

And while they were staying there many days, Festus laid out the [case] against Paul to the king, saying, "There is a certain man left behind by Felix [as] a prisoner,

who previously knew me a long while ago, (if they chose to bear testimony,) that according to the most precise sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.

And during which, while going to Damascus with the authority and commission of the chief priests,

King Agrippa, while on the road at midday, I saw a light from heaven brighter than the sun, shining around me and those traveling with me.

On account of these things the Jews, taking me while in the temple, endeavored to kill me.

And while he made a defense by these things, Festus said in a loud voice, Paul, thou are mad. Much scholarship is driving thee into madness.

while two days later they threw the ship's gear overboard with their own hands;

And when they had been a long while without taking food, Paul then standing up in the midst of them said, Ye ought, O men, to have hearkened to me, and not have made sail from Crete and have gained this disaster and loss.

But when the fourteenth day came, while we were going here and there in the Adriatic sea, about the middle of the night the sailors had an idea that they were getting near land;

They took soundings, and found twenty fathoms. After a little while, they took soundings again, and found fifteen fathoms.

And while the day was coming on, Paul besought them all to take meat, saying, This day is the fourteenth day that ye have tarried and continued fasting, having taken nothing.

And casting off the anchors, they left them in the sea while at the same time they were loosening the ropes of the rudders; and hoisting the foresail to the wind, they were heading for the beach.

But, falling into a place where two seas met, they ran the ship aground; and, the foreship sticking fast, remained immoveable, while, the stern, began to break up, from the violence of the waves .

while the rest were to manage with planks or pieces of wreckage. In this way it turned out that the whole company got safe to land.

Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.

who also honored us with many honorariums. And while putting out to sea, they furnished the things for our necessities.

And it happened after three days that Paul called together those who were the leading Jews, and when they assembled he said to them, "Brothers, although I had done nothing against the [Jewish] people or the customs of our forefathers, yet I was made a prisoner at Jerusalem, being placed in the custody of the Romans [while there].

[After he said these things, the Jews departed, while engaging in a prolonged debate among themselves.]
