The people of Bethel sent Sharezer and Regem Melech, and their men, to entreat the LORD's favor,

Yes, they made their hearts as hard as flint, lest they might hear the law, and the words which the LORD of hosts had sent by his Spirit by the former prophets. Therefore great wrath came from the LORD of hosts.

If you will not listen, and if you will not lay it to heart, to give glory to my name," says the LORD of hosts, "then will I send the curse on you, and I will curse your blessings. Indeed, I have cursed them already, because you do not lay it to heart.

Those who were sent, returning to the house, found the servant was well.

John, calling to himself two of his disciples, sent them to the Lord, saying, "Are you the one who is coming, or should we look for another?"

When the men had come to him, they said, "John the Baptist has sent us to you, saying, 'Are you the One who is to come, or should we look for another?'"

This is he of whom it is written, 'Look, I send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way before you.'

But the man from whom the demons had gone out begged him that he might go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying,

He sent them forth to proclaim the Kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.
