At that time Jesus went on the sabbath through the grainfields; and his disciples were hungry, and began to pluck the ears of grain, and to eat.
Another parable he put forth to them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard, which a man took and sowed in his field.
Which is the least indeed of all seeds; but when it is grown, it is greater than the herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in its branches.

And it came to pass, that he was going through the grainfields on the sabbath, and his disciples began, as they went along, to pluck the ears of grain.
For the earth brings forth fruit of itself, first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear.
It is like a grain of mustard, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that are in the earth;
And they clothe him with purple, and having platted a crown of thorns, they put it on him.
And it came to pass on the second sabbath after the first, that he was going through grainfields; and his disciples plucked the ears of grain, and ate them, rubbing them with their hands.
It is like a grain of mustard, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and became a tree, and the birds of the air lodged in its branches.
But the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard, ye might say to this sycaminetree, Be plucked up by the roots, and planted in the sea! and it would obey you.
For if they do these things in the green tree, what will be done in the dry?
