And he told them a parable: "Look at the fig tree and all the trees.
His new plant shoots will spread out; his splendor will be like the olive tree, and his scent like the [trees of] Lebanon.
As an apple tree among the trees of the forest, so [is] my beloved among the young men. In his shade {I sat down with delight}, and his fruit [was] sweet to my palate.
And do not let the {foreigner} [who] joins himself to Yahweh say, "Surely Yahweh will separate me from his people." And do not let the eunuch say, "Look! I [am] a dry tree!"
who burn with lust among the oaks, under every leafy tree, who slaughter children in the valleys, under the clefts of the rocks?
He sacrificed and offered incense on the high places, on the hills, and under every green tree.

Sing for joy, heavens, for Yahweh has done [it]! Shout, depths of [the] earth! Break forth, mountains, [in] rejoicing, forest and every tree in it, for Yahweh has redeemed Jacob, and he will show his glory in Israel!

{It} is the smallest of all the seeds, but when it is grown it is larger than the garden herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the sky come and nest in its branches."

And it was because of the frivolity of her fornication that she defiled the land and committed adultery with the stone and with the tree.
