I know thy works, and thy labor, and thy endurance, and that thou canst not bear evil men; and thou didst try those who say they are apostles, and are not, and didst find them liars;
What doth it profit, my brethren, if any one say that he hath faith, and have not works? Can his faith save him?
They profess that they know God, but by their works they deny him, being abominable and disobedient, and for every good work reprobate.
If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in the darkness, we lie, and do not the truth;
He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, All power was given to me in heaven and on earth.
And when the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the angels with him, then will he sit on the throne of his glory, and before him will be gathered all the nations; and he will separate men one from another, as a shepherd separateth the sheep from the goats;
But from this time the Son of man will sit on the right hand of the power of God.
Blessed are ye, when men revile you, and persecute you, and say every thing that is bad against you, falsely, for my sake.
Think not that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets: I came not to destroy, but to fulfill.
according as thou gavest him authority over all flesh, that he should give everlasting life to all whom thou hast given him.
Blessed are ye when men hate you, and when they exclude you, and revile and cast out your name as evil, on account of the Son of man.
And there was delivered to him the book of the prophet Isaiah; and unrolling the book, he found the place where it was written, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he anointed me to preach glad tidings to the poor; he hath sent me to proclaim deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty the oppressed, to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord."read more.
And rolling up the book, he gave it back to the attendant, and sat down; and the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed upon him. And he began to say to them, Today hath this scripture been fulfilled in your ears.
Jesus said to them, Truly, truly do I say to you, From before Abraham was, I have been.
And if Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? For ye say that I cast out the demons through Beelzebul. But if I cast out the demons through Beelzebul, through whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore shall they be judges of you. But if I cast out the demons through the finger of God, then hath the kingdom of God already come to you.
And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets he explained to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.
Jesus therefore said to them, I am the bread of life; he that cometh to me will not hunger; and he that believeth in me will never thirst.

And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this man perverting our nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, and saying that he himself is the Christ, the king.
Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he have died, will live;
For whoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, truly do I say to you, he will not lose his reward.
If thou art the Christ, tell us. And he said to them, If I tell you, ye will not believe;
Jesus saith to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one cometh to the Father but through me.
The woman saith to him, I know that Messiah cometh (who is called Christ); when he hath come, he will tell us all things. Jesus saith to her, I who speak to thee am he.
Therefore I said to you, that ye will die in your sins; for unless ye believe that I am He, ye will die in your sins. They said therefore to him, Who art thou? Jesus said to them, In the first place, I am just that which I speak to you. I have many things to say, and to judge, concerning you; but he who sent me is true; and I speak to the world what I heard from him.read more.
They understood not that he spoke to them of the Father. Jesus therefore said, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then ye will know that I am He, and do nothing of myself, but speak these things as the Father taught me. And he that sent me is with me; he hath not left me alone, for I always do the things that please him. As he spoke these words, many believed in him.
And Jesus stood before the governor; and the governor questioned him, saying, Art thou the king of the Jews? And Jesus said, I am.
Believe me, that I am in the Father, and the Father in me; but if not, believe for the very works sake.
And Pilate asked him, Art thou the king of the Jews? And he answering saith to him, I am.
And Pilate asked him, saying, Art thou the king of the Jews? And he answering said to him, I am.
From this time Pilate sought to release him. But the Jews cried out, saying, If thou release this man, thou art not a friend of Caesar. Every one that maketh himself a king, setteth himself against Caesar.
The Jews answered him, Not for a good work do we stone thee, but for blasphemy, and because thou, who art a man, makest thyself God.
For many will come in my name, saying, I am the Christ, and will deceive many.
The Jews answered him, We have a law, and according to the law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.
And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived. For many will come in my name, saying, I am He, and the time is at hand. Go not after them.
But Jesus was silent. And the highpriest answering said to him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou art the Christ, the Son of God. Jesus saith to him, I am. Moreover I say to you, Henceforth ye will see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven.
But he was silent, and answered nothing. Again the highpriest asked him, and saith to him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? And Jesus said, I am; and ye will see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.
Then they all said, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said to them, Ye say what is true; for I am.
He trusteth in God; let him now deliver him, if he desireth him; for he said, I am the Son of God.
Why doth this man speak thus? He blasphemeth; who can forgive sins but God only?
And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this that speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?
Jesus saith to him, Have I been so long time with you, and dost thou not know me, Philip? He that hath seen me hath seen the Father; how is it that thou sayest, Show us the Father?
