The Jews, therefore, answered him, "We have a law, and according to the law He ought to die, because He made Himself God's Son."
And the king, straightway sending off one of his guard, gave orders to bring his head; and, departing, he beheaded him in the prison,

Now, while hearing these things, they were being cut to their hearts, and were gnashing their teeth over him. But, crying out with a loud voice, they closed their ears, and rushed upon him with one accord; and, having thrust him forth outside of the city, they kept stoning him! And the witnesses laid their garments at the feet of a young man called Saul. And they were stoning Stephen, calling and saying, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!"

And the scribes and the Pharisees bring to Him a woman taken in adultery; and, having placed her in the midst, they say to Him, "Teacher, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now in the law Moses commanded us to stone such; what, therefore, dost Thou say?"read more.

And Jesus said to her, "Neither do I condemn you; go your way; henceforth sin no more."]
