Why is light given to a man whose way is hidden, whom God has hedged in? For my sighing comes before I eat. My groanings are poured out like water. He won't break a bruised reed. He won't quench a dimly burning wick. He will faithfully bring justice. He will not fail nor be discouraged, until he has set justice in the earth, and the islands will wait for his law."
I also will laugh at your disaster. I will mock when calamity overtakes you; when calamity overtakes you like a storm, when your disaster comes on like a whirlwind; when distress and anguish come on you.

Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.

A cheerful heart makes good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world."
Nevertheless, he who comforts the lowly, God, comforted us by the coming of Titus;
A glad heart makes a cheerful face; but an aching heart breaks the spirit.

Fathers, don't provoke your children, so that they won't be discouraged.
Remember those who are in bonds, as bound with them; and those who are ill-treated, since you are also in the body.
Rejoice with those who rejoice. Weep with those who weep.
Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.
