according as he had chosen us in him through love, before the foundation of the world was laid, that we should be saints, and without blame before him, through love.

For they that are carnal, are carnally minded; But they that are spiritual are spiritually minded. To be carnally minded is death; But to be spiritually minded is life, and peace: because that the fleshly mind is enmity against God: For it is not obedient to the law of God, neither can be.
This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other gentiles walk; in vanity of their mind, blinded in their understanding, being strangers from the life which is in God, through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their hearts. Which, being past repentance, have given themselves unto wantonness, to work all manner of uncleanness even with greediness.read more.
But ye have not so learned Christ; If so be ye have heard of him, and are taught in him, even as the truth is in Jesus: so then, as concerning the conversation in time past, lay from you that old man, which is corrupt through the deceivable lusts, and be ye renewed in the spirit of your minds, and put on that new man, which after the image of God is shapen in righteousness, and true holiness.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercifulness of God, that ye make your bodies a living sacrifice: holy and acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable serving of God. And fashion not yourselves like unto this world: But be changed through the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what thing that good, that acceptable, and perfect will of God is.
that ye might walk worthy of the Lord in all things that please, being fruitful in all good works and increasing in the knowledge of God
For this is the will of God, even that ye should be holy, and that ye should abstain from fornication, that every one of you should know how to keep his vessel in holiness and honour, and not in the lust of concupiscence, as do the heathen, which know not God,read more.
that no man go too far and defraud his brother in bargaining, because the Lord is avenger of all such things: as we told you before time, and testified unto you.
Wherefore, let us leave the doctrine pertaining to the beginning of a Christian man, and let us go unto perfection, and now no more lay the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, of baptism, of doctrine, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection from death, and of eternal judgment. And so will we do, if God permit.

But we all behold the glory of the Lord with his face open, and we are changed unto the same similitude, from glory to glory, even of the spirit of the Lord.
But let us follow the truth in love, and in all things grow in him which is the head, that is to say Christ,
