and endurance, tested character, and tested character, hope,

knowledge with self-control, self-control with patient endurance, patient endurance with piety,

ever happy in hope, always patient in suffering, ever persistent in prayer,

but you must let your endurance come to its perfect product, so that you may be fully developed and perfectly equipped, without any defects.

for you surely know that what is genuine in your faith produces the patient mind that endures;

Now for this very reason you must do your level best to supplement your faith with moral character, moral character with knowledge,

Keep on praying in the Spirit, with every kind of prayer and entreaty, at every opportunity, be ever on the alert with perfect devotion and entreaty for all God's people,

But whoever bears up to the end will be saved.

And they too, if they do not continue to live by their unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is amply able to graft them in.

May the Lord guide you into a realization of God's love for you and into a patient endurance like Christ's.

for we can never for a moment before our God forget your energizing faith, your toiling love, and your enduring hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.

In this way is shown the patient endurance of God's people, who always cling to God's commands and their faith in Jesus.

For if we go willfully sinning after we have received full knowledge of the truth, there is no sacrifice left to be offered for our sins,

Keep looking, keep alert, for you do not know when the time will be.

You must persevere in prayer and by this means stay wide awake when you give thanks.

I tell you, He will give them justice and protection, and that without delay. But when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on earth?"

Such persuasion never came from Him who called you.

And will not God give justice and protection to His chosen people who continue to cry to Him day and night, since He is so patient with them?

preach the message, stay at it in season and out of season; convince, reprove, exhort people with perfect patience as a teacher.

Make it your habit to pay close attention to yourself and your teaching. Persevere in these things, for if you do you will save both yourself and those who listen to you.

See how we call those who thus endured happy! You have heard how patiently Job endured and have seen how the Lord finally blessed him, because the Lord is tenderhearted and merciful.

Blessed is the person who endures trial, for when he stands the test, he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love Him.

never slack in earnestness, always on fire with the Spirit, always serving the Lord,
