as children of obedience, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts in your ignorance; but as he who called you is holy, be ye also holy in all your conduct; because it is written, "Ye shall be holy, for I am holy."
For sufficient is the time past to have wrought the will of the gentiles, when ye walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revelings, carousings, and abominable idolatries; at which they are astonished that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you;
because whatever is born of God overcometh the world; and this is the victory that hath overcome the world, even our faith.
And I am no longer in the world; and they are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father! keep them in thy name which thou hast given me, that they may be one, even as we are.
So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.
