'Three' in the Bible
For as Jonah was in the belly of the huge fish three days and three nights, so the Son of Man will be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.
Around three in the morning, He came toward them walking on the sea.
Now Jesus summoned His disciples and said, “I have compassion on the crowd, because they’ve already stayed with Me three days and have nothing to eat. I don’t want to send them away hungry; otherwise they might collapse on the way.”
Then Peter said to Jesus, “Lord, it’s good for us to be here! If You want, I will make three tabernacles here: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”
But if he won’t listen, take one or two more with you, so that by the testimony of two or three witnesses every fact may be established.
For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there among them.”
About noon and at three, he went out again and did the same thing.
“I assure you,” Jesus said to him, “tonight, before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times!”
stated, “This man said, ‘I can demolish God’s sanctuary and rebuild it in three days.’”
and Peter remembered the words Jesus had spoken, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.” And he went outside and wept bitterly.
and saying, “The One who would demolish the sanctuary and rebuild it in three days, save Yourself! If You are the Son of God, come down from the cross!”
From noon until three in the afternoon darkness came over the whole land.
About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out with a loud voice, “Elí, Elí, lemá sabachtháni?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”
and said, “Sir, we remember that while this deceiver was still alive He said, ‘After three days I will rise again.’
He saw them being battered as they rowed, because the wind was against them. Around three in the morning He came toward them walking on the sea and wanted to pass by them.
“I have compassion on the crowd, because they’ve already stayed with Me three days and have nothing to eat.
Then He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes, be killed, and rise after three days.
Then Peter said to Jesus, “Rabbi, it’s good for us to be here! Let us make three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah”—
For He was teaching His disciples and telling them, “The Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of men. They will kill Him, and after He is killed, He will rise three days later.”
and they will mock Him, spit on Him, flog Him, and kill Him, and He will rise after three days.”
“I assure you,” Jesus said to him, “today, this very night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times!”
“We heard Him say, ‘I will demolish this sanctuary made by human hands, and in three days I will build another not made by hands.’”
Immediately a rooster crowed a second time, and Peter remembered when Jesus had spoken the word to him, “Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times.” When he thought about it, he began to weep.
Those who passed by were yelling insults at Him, shaking their heads, and saying, “Ha! The One who would demolish the sanctuary and build it in three days,
When it was noon, darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon.
And at three Jesus cried out with a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lemá sabachtháni?” which is translated, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”
And Mary stayed with her about three months; then she returned to her home.
After three days, they found Him in the temple complex sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions.
But I say to you, there were certainly many widows in Israel in Elijah’s days, when the sky was shut up for three years and six months while a great famine came over all the land.
As the two men were departing from Him, Peter said to Jesus, “Master, it’s good for us to be here! Let us make three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah”—not knowing what he said.
“Which of these three do you think proved to be a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of the robbers?”

From now on, five in one household will be divided: three against two, and two against three.
He told the vineyard worker, ‘Listen, for three years I have come looking for fruit on this fig tree and haven’t found any. Cut it down! Why should it even waste the soil?’
“I tell you, Peter,” He said, “the rooster will not crow today until you deny three times that you know Me!”
Then the Lord turned and looked at Peter. So Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how He had said to him, “Before the rooster crows today, you will deny Me three times.”
It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three,
Jesus answered, “Destroy this sanctuary, and I will raise it up in three days.”
Therefore the Jews said, “This sanctuary took 46 years to build, and will You raise it up in three days?”
After they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea. He was coming near the boat, and they were afraid.
Jesus replied, “Will you lay down your life for Me? I assure you: A rooster will not crow until you have denied Me three times.
Now Peter and John were going up together to the temple complex at the hour of prayer at three in the afternoon.
There was an interval of about three hours; then his wife came in, not knowing what had happened.
At this time Moses was born, and he was beautiful in God’s sight. He was cared for in his father’s home three months,
He was unable to see for three days and did not eat or drink.
About three in the afternoon he distinctly saw in a vision an angel of God who came in and said to him, “Cornelius!”
This happened three times, and then the object was taken up into heaven.
While Peter was thinking about the vision, the Spirit told him, “Three men are here looking for you.
Cornelius replied, “Four days ago at this hour, at three in the afternoon, I was praying in my house. Just then a man in a dazzling robe stood before me
