'Call' in the Bible
"Look! The virgin will conceive and bear a son, and they will call him Emmanuel," which means "God with us."
Go and learn what this saying means: 'I want mercy and not sacrifice.' For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners."
"To what should I compare this generation? They are like children sitting in the marketplaces who call out to one another,
When it was evening the owner of the vineyard said to his manager, 'Call the workers and give the pay starting with the last hired until the first.'
He said to them, "How then does David by the Spirit call him 'Lord,' saying,

So Pilate spoke to them again, "Then what do you want me to do with the one you call king of the Jews?"
because he has looked upon the humble state of his servant. For from now on all generations will call me blessed,
I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."
"Why do you call me 'Lord, Lord,' and don't do what I tell you?
Now when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, "Lord, do you want us to call fire to come down from heaven and consume them?"
Jesus said to him, "Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone.

and here he has authority from the chief priests to imprison all who call on your name!"

But if you call yourself a Jew and rely on the law and boast of your relationship to God
As he also says in Hosea: "I will call those who were not my people, 'My people,' and I will call her who was unloved, 'My beloved.'"
For there is no distinction between the Jew and the Greek, for the same Lord is Lord of all, who richly blesses all who call on him.
How are they to call on one they have not believed in? And how are they to believe in one they have not heard of? And how are they to hear without someone preaching to them?
to the church of God that is in Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, and called to be saints, with all those in every place who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours.
Think about the circumstances of your call, brothers and sisters. Not many were wise by human standards, not many were powerful, not many were born to a privileged position.
with this goal in mind, I strive toward the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
For God did not call us to impurity but in holiness.
