Then God said, “Let Us (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) make man in Our image, according to Our likeness [not physical, but a spiritual personality and moral likeness]; and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the cattle, and over the entire earth, and over everything that creeps and crawls on the earth.”
Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
And the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us (Father, Son, Holy Spirit), knowing [how to distinguish between] good and evil; and now, he might stretch out his hand, and take from the tree of life as well, and eat [its fruit], and live [in this fallen, sinful condition] forever”—
Now to Enoch was born Irad, and Irad became the father of Mehujael, and Mehujael became the father of Methushael, and Methushael became the father of Lamech.
And Adah bare Jabal: he was the father of such as dwell in tents, and of such as have cattle.
And his brother's name was Jubal: he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ.
And Zillah gave birth to Tubal-cain, who is the father of every maker of cutting instruments of brass and iron: and the sister of Tubal-cain was Naamah.
When Adam had lived one hundred and thirty years, he became the father of a son in his own likeness, according to his image, and named him Seth.
Then the days of Adam after he became the father of Seth were eight hundred years, and he had other sons and daughters.
Seth lived one hundred and five years, and became the father of Enosh.
Then Seth lived eight hundred and seven years after he became the father of Enosh, and he had other sons and daughters.

Then Enosh lived eight hundred and fifteen years after he became the father of Kenan, and he had other sons and daughters.
Kenan lived seventy years, and became the father of Mahalalel.
Then Kenan lived eight hundred and forty years after he became the father of Mahalalel, and he had other sons and daughters.
Mahalalel lived sixty-five years, and became the father of Jared.
Then Mahalalel lived eight hundred and thirty years after he became the father of Jared, and he had other sons and daughters.
Jared lived one hundred and sixty-two years, and became the father of Enoch.
Then Jared lived eight hundred years after he became the father of Enoch, and he had other sons and daughters.
Enoch lived sixty-five years, and became the father of Methuselah.
Then Enoch walked with God three hundred years after he became the father of Methuselah, and he had other sons and daughters.
Methuselah lived one hundred and eighty-seven years, and became the father of Lamech.
Then Methuselah lived seven hundred and eighty-two years after he became the father of Lamech, and he had other sons and daughters.
Lamech lived one hundred and eighty-two years, and became the father of a son.
Then Lamech lived five hundred and ninety-five years after he became the father of Noah, and he had other sons and daughters.
Noah was five hundred years old, and Noah became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
Noah became the father of three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan.
And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.
And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness.
Now Cush became the father of Nimrod; he became a mighty one on the earth.
Mizraim became the father of Ludim and Anamim and Lehabim and Naphtuhim
Canaan became the father of Sidon, his firstborn, and Heth
Unto Shem also, the father of all the children of Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder, even to him were children born.
Arpachshad became the father of Shelah; and Shelah became the father of Eber.
Joktan became the father of Almodad and Sheleph and Hazarmaveth and Jerah
These are the records of the generations of Shem. Shem was one hundred years old, and became the father of Arpachshad two years after the flood;
and Shem lived five hundred years after he became the father of Arpachshad, and he had other sons and daughters.
Arpachshad lived thirty-five years, and became the father of Shelah;
and Arpachshad lived four hundred and three years after he became the father of Shelah, and he had other sons and daughters.
Shelah lived thirty years, and became the father of Eber;
and Shelah lived four hundred and three years after he became the father of Eber, and he had other sons and daughters.
Eber lived thirty-four years, and became the father of Peleg;
and Eber lived four hundred and thirty years after he became the father of Peleg, and he had other sons and daughters.
Peleg lived thirty years, and became the father of Reu;
and Peleg lived two hundred and nine years after he became the father of Reu, and he had other sons and daughters.
Reu lived thirty-two years, and became the father of Serug;
and Reu lived two hundred and seven years after he became the father of Serug, and he had other sons and daughters.
Serug lived thirty years, and became the father of Nahor;
and Serug lived two hundred years after he became the father of Nahor, and he had other sons and daughters.
Nahor lived twenty-nine years, and became the father of Terah;
and Nahor lived one hundred and nineteen years after he became the father of Terah, and he had other sons and daughters.
Terah lived seventy years, and became the father of Abram, Nahor and Haran.
Now these are the records of the generations of Terah. Terah became the father of Abram, Nahor and Haran; and Haran became the father of Lot.
And Haran died before his father Terah in the land of his nativity, in Ur of the Chaldees.
And Abram and Nahor took them wives: the name of Abram's wife was Sarai; and the name of Nahor's wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran, the father of Milcah, and the father of Iscah.
And Jehovah saith unto Abram, 'Go for thyself, from thy land, and from thy kindred, and from the house of thy father, unto the land which I shew thee.
As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.
Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.
As for Ishmael, I have heard you. I will certainly bless him; I will make him fruitful and will multiply him greatly. He will father 12 tribal leaders, and I will make him into a great nation.
And the firstborn said unto the younger, Our father is old, and there is not a man in the earth to come in unto us after the manner of all the earth:
Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.
And they made their father drink wine that night: and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.
And it came to pass on the morrow, that the firstborn said unto the younger, Behold, I lay yesternight with my father: let us make him drink wine this night also; and go thou in, and lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.
And they made their father drink wine that night also: and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.
Thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their father.
And the firstborn bare a son, and called his name Moab: the same is the father of the Moabites unto this day.
And the younger, she also bare a son, and called his name Benammi: the same is the father of the children of Ammon unto this day.
And yet indeed she is my sister; she is the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife.
and it came to pass, when God caused me to wander from my father's house, that I said unto her, This is thy kindness which thou shalt show unto me. At every place whither we shall come, say of me, He is my brother.
And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?
Huz his firstborn, and Buz his brother, and Kemuel the father of Aram,

and he saith unto me, Jehovah, before whom I have walked habitually, doth send His messenger with thee, and hath prospered thy way, and thou hast taken a wife for my son from my family, and from the house of my father;
Jokshan was the father of Sheba and Dedan. Dedan's sons were the Asshurites, Letushites, and Leummites.
Now these are the records of the generations of Isaac, Abraham’s son: Abraham became the father of Isaac;
Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father;

And thou shalt bring it to thy father, that he may eat, and that he may bless thee before his death.
My father peradventure will feel me, and I shall seem to him as a deceiver; and I shall bring a curse upon me, and not a blessing.
And he went, and fetched, and brought them to his mother: and his mother made savoury meat, such as his father loved.
And he came unto his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I; who art thou, my son?
And Jacob said unto his father, I am Esau thy firstborn; I have done according as thou badest me: arise, I pray thee, sit and eat of my venison, that thy soul may bless me.
And Jacob went near unto Isaac his father; and he felt him, and said, The voice is Jacob's voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau.
"Come closer to me," Isaac replied, "so I can eat some of the game, my son, and then bless you." So Jacob came closer, and Isaac ate. Jacob also brought wine so his father could drink.
And his father Isaac said unto him, Come near now, and kiss me, my son.
And it came to pass, as soon as Isaac had made an end of blessing Jacob, and Jacob was yet scarce gone out from the presence of Isaac his father, that Esau his brother came in from his hunting.
And he also had made savoury meat, and brought it unto his father, and said unto his father, Let my father arise, and eat of his son's venison, that thy soul may bless me.
And Isaac his father said unto him, Who art thou? And he said, I am thy son, thy firstborn Esau.
And when Esau heard the words of his father, he cried with a great and exceeding bitter cry, and said unto his father, Bless me, even me also, O my father.
And Esau said unto his father, Hast thou but one blessing, my father? bless me, even me also, O my father. And Esau lifted up his voice, and wept.
And Isaac his father answered and said unto him, Behold, thy dwelling shall be the fatness of the earth, and of the dew of heaven from above;
