And he threw down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.

He said this, not that he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and having the common purse he carried what was put into it.

And while He was yet speaking, behold a multitude; and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve apostles, came before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss Him: and Jesus said to him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?

And yet behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is at table with me: and the Son of man is going indeed as was determined; but wo to that man by whom He is betrayed. And they began to enquire among themselves, which of them it was that should do it.

And immediately while He was yet speaking cometh Judas, one of the twelve, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests, and scribes, and elders: (Now the traitor had given them a sign, saying, The man, whom I shall kiss, is He; lay hold of Him and lead Him away safely:) and as soon as he came, he went directly up to Him and said, Master, Master; and kissed Him.

Rise, let us go, see the traitor is at hand. And while He was yet speaking, behold, Judas one of the twelve came, and with him a great number, with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people: (now he that betrayed Him, had given them a signal, saying, The man whom I shall kiss is He, lay hold of Him:) read more.
and going directly up to Jesus, he said, Hail master, and kissed Him. And Jesus said to him, Friend, wherefore art thou come? then they came up and laid hands on Jesus, and apprehended Him.

And after the sop Satan entred into him. Then Jesus saith unto him, What thou dost, do quickly. But none of those that sat at table knew wherefore He said this to him. For some of them thought, because Judas kept the purse, that Jesus said to him, Buy what things we have need of against the feast: or that he should give something to the poor. read more.
