Concluding Exhortations

¹⁷ Now I beseech you, brothers, mark those who cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine you have learned and avoid them. ¹⁸ For such men are slaves, not of our Lord Christ but of their own appetites; and by their smooth and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting. ¹⁹ Your obedience has come to our attention abroad. I am glad therefore on your behalf. Yet I would have you wise to that which is good and simple concerning evil.
