Yes Father, you did this because it was very pleasing to you. read more. "All things have been entrusted to me by my Father and no one [truly] knows the Son except the Father. And neither does anyone [truly] know the Father except the Son and that person to whom the Son wants to reveal Him.

Then Jesus asked him, "What is your name?" And he answered, " [My name is] 'Legion'" [Note: This word means a number consisting of between 5,000 and 6,000], for many evil spirits had entered the man.
For the One whom God has sent [i.e., Jesus] speaks the words of God, for He [i.e., God] does not give the Holy Spirit in a limited quantity [i.e., to Jesus. See next verse].
So, Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I tell you, the Son [of God] cannot do anything on His own [i.e., independently of the Father]; but [He does] what He sees His Father doing. For whatever the Father does, the Son also does as well. For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him everything that He Himself does; and He will show Him [even] greater deeds [i.e., more extensive in scope] than these [i.e., than merely healing a crippled man], so that you people will be amazed.
If anyone [really] desires to do what God wants, he will know whether my teaching comes from God or whether I am speaking on my own authority [only].
So, Jesus said, "When you have lifted up the Son of man [i.e., to crucify Him], then you will know that I am [the Messiah] and that I do not do anything on my own authority, but I speak [only] those things that the Father has taught me.
and said, "Where have they laid his body?" They answered Him, "Lord, come and see."
and said, "Where have they laid his body?" They answered Him, "Lord, come and see."
For I did not speak from myself [i.e., on my own authority], but the Father Himself, who sent me, has ordered me what to say and speak. And I know that [obeying] His commandments [leads to] never ending life. So, the things which I say are what the Father has told me [to say]."
And this is never ending life; that people may know you [as] the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the One whom you have sent.
There they continued preaching the good news [about Jesus].
For what is known about God is plain to these people [i.e., to the Gentiles], because God has made it clear to them. For since the creation of the world, God's invisible qualities of eternal power and divine nature have been clearly seen, [capable of] being perceived through the things that He has made. So, these people have no excuse [i.e., for not believing in Him].
[it is being sent] to the church of God at Corinth. [You people are] set apart in [the fellowship of] Christ Jesus and called [by God] to be saints [i.e., His holy people], along with all [others] everywhere who call on our Lord Jesus Christ [i.e., in prayer]. He is their Lord and ours [as well].
But God brought you into [fellowship with] Christ Jesus, who was made to be God's wisdom for us. Through Christ you have received a right relationship with God, [as well as] holiness and redemption [i.e., being bought back from Satan].
For one person is given the [supernatural] message of wisdom through the Holy Spirit; another person is given the [supernatural] message of knowledge by means of the same Holy Spirit.
We proclaim Him, warning and teaching every person with all wisdom, so that we may present every person [to God] complete in [their fellowship with] Christ.
[I do this] so that their hearts will be encouraged [while] being united in [mutual] love, [and] so that they will have the wealth of a fully assured understanding, in order to fully know about God's hidden secret, [which is] Christ.

[This letter is from] Paul, a slave of God, and an apostle for [the benefit of] the faith of God's elect [i.e., His chosen people] and [to spread] the knowledge of the truth which leads to godliness,

There are several Greek words translated 'to know,' the principal of which are
1. ????, signifying 'inward conscious knowledge' in the mind; and
2. ???????, signifying 'objective knowledge.' The latter passes into consciousness, but not vice versa. There are several passages in the N.T. in which both words occur, a study will show that the words are not used promiscuously, and need to be carefully considered .
Mt 24:43. Know 2 this, that if the goodman of the house had known 1 in what watch the thief would come, etc. The same distinction occurs in Lu 12:39.
Mr 4:13. Know 1 ye not this parable? and how then will ye know 2 all parables?
Joh 7:27. We know 1 this man whence he is; but when Christ cometh, no man knoweth 2 whence he is.
Joh 8:55. Ye have not known 2 him; but I know 1 him; and if I should say, I know 1 him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know 1 him, and keep his saying.
Joh 13:7. What I do thou knowest 1 not now; but thou shalt know 2 hereafter.
Joh 21:17. Lord, thou knowest 1 all things; thou knowest 2 that I love thee.
Ro 7:7. I had not known 2 sin, but by the law: for I had not known 1 lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
1Co 8:1-2. We know 1 that we all have knowledge 2. Knowledge 2 puffeth up, but charity edifieth. And if any man think that he knoweth 1 (Editors alter this into 2 ) anything, he knoweth 2 nothing yet as he ought to know. 2
2Co 5:16. Henceforth know 1 we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known 2 Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know 2 we him no more.
Heb 8:11. They shall not teach . . . . saying, Know 2 the Lord: for all shall know 1 me, from the least to the greatest.
1Jo 2:29. If ye know 1 that he is righteous, ye know 2 that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.
1Jo 5:20. We know 1 that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know 2 him that is true.
Both these words are employed for the Lord's own knowledge. In Mt 12:15, Jesus knew 2 (that they were plotting to destroy him) having heard it. And in Mt 12:25 Jesus knew 1 their thoughts

"All things have been entrusted to me by my Father and no one [truly] knows the Son except the Father. And neither does anyone [truly] know the Father except the Son and that person to whom the Son wants to reveal Him.
When Jesus perceived what they were doing He withdrew from that place. Many people followed Him and He healed all of them.
Knowing their thoughts Jesus said to them, "Every kingdom [plagued] with internal division will end in ruin. And every city or household divided from within will not survive.
But you should know this: if the owner of a house had known when a thief was coming, he would have been watching so as not to allow his house to be broken into.
And Jesus continued to speak to them, "Do you not know what this parable means? Then how can you understand any of the other parables?
Everything has been handed over to me by my Father and no one knows the Son except the Father. And [no one knows] the Father except the Son and whatever person the Son wants to reveal Him to."
But you should realize this, if the owner of the house had known exactly when the burglar was coming, he would not have allowed his house to be broken into.
However, we know where this man comes from, but when the Messiah comes, no one will know where he is from."
Now you people have not known Him [i.e., to be your Lord], but I know Him. And if I should say, 'I do not know Him,' I would be a liar like you. But I [do] know Him, and I obey His message.
Jesus answered him, "You do not understand what I am doing, but you will later on."
Then Jesus asked him a third time, "Simon, son of John, do you [truly] love me?" Peter was sad because Jesus had asked him a third time, "Do you [even] love me?" So, he said to Jesus, "Lord, you know all things. You [surely] know that I love you." Jesus replied to him, "[Then] feed my sheep.
What shall we say then? Is the law of Moses sinful? Certainly not! For I would not have known what sin was if it had not been for the law. For [example]; I would not have known [what it meant] to covet [i.e., have a strong desire for what belongs to someone else] except that the law said [Ex. 20:17], "You must not covet."
I now want to reply to the matter of idolatrous sacrifices [which you wrote to me about]. We know that we all possess knowledge. [Note: This may be a statement posed to Paul by the Corinthians, who seemed quite preoccupied with "knowledge"]. Knowledge [only] makes people arrogant, while love builds them up [spiritually]. If anyone thinks he knows something, he [really] does not know as much as he ought to.
Love will never cease. But though there are [now supernatural gifts of] prophecies, [someday] they will be abolished [i.e., such gifts will cease to be exercised]. Though there are [now supernatural gifts of] languages, [someday] they will stop [i.e., such gifts will cease to be exercised]. Though there is [now the supernatural gift of] knowledge, [someday] it will be abolished [i.e., this gift will cease to be exercised]. For [now] we have partial knowledge and partial prophetic messages,
For now [i.e., during the church's infant state] we see in a mirror [Note: God's word is elsewhere likened to a mirror. See James 1:22-25] indistinctly [i.e., because of having only partial knowledge and prophecy], but then [i.e., when the church matures and has the completed Scriptures], we will see face to face [i.e., clearly]. Now I have [only] partial knowledge, but then I will have full knowledge, just as [God has] full knowledge of me.
So, from now on we will not regard any person by worldly standards, even though we [once] regarded Christ that way. But we will not regard Him [that way] anymore. [Note: Paul seems to be saying that before his conversion he viewed Christ on the basis of His family, His education, His position, etc., but since his conversion he does not view Him that way anymore].
And everyone will not [have to] teach his neighbor or his brother [anymore], telling them to 'Know the Lord,' because all of them will know me [as their Lord], from the least [important] ones to the most important ones.
If you know that Christ is [truly] righteous [verse 1], then you should also know that everyone who does what is right has been [spiritually] conceived [and eventually born] by God [See 5:18].
And [in addition], we know that the Son of God has come [in a physical body, See 4:2] and has given us understanding, so that we can know the True One [i.e., God], and that we are in [fellowship with] the True One, even His Son Jesus Christ. This Son is the true God and eternal life.
