Now when John heard in prison about the works of Christ, he sent word by his disciples

And Jesus entered the temple of God and drove out all who sold and bought in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold doves.
But Jesus remained silent. And the high priest said to him, "I charge you under oath by the living God: tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God."

And as they were stoning Stephen, he prayed, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit."
You know the word which he sent to Israel, preaching good news of peace through Jesus Christ (he is Lord of all).
how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how he went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.
And he commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that he is the one appointed by God to be judge of the living and the dead. Of him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name."
