But when he came out, he could not speak to them; and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple, for he made signs to them and remained speechless.

When they could not find a way to bring him in, because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and let him down with his bed through the tiles into the midst before Jesus.

he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house and could not shake it, because it was well built.

Then his mother and his brothers came to him, but they could not reach him because of the crowd.

I begged your disciples to cast it out, but they could not."

And there was a woman who had had a spirit of infirmity for eighteen years; she was bent over and could not straighten up at all.

And they could not reply to this.

And he sought to see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, for he was of short stature.

but they could not find anything they could do, for all the people hung upon his words.

Then he opened their minds, so they could understand the Scriptures.
