They shall take up serpents in their hands; and, if they drink any poison, it shall not hurt them; they will place their hands on sick people and they shall recover."

He then poured some water into the basin, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel which was tied round him.

While the men, disregarding that for which women were intended by nature, were consumed with passion for one another. Men indulged in vile practices with men, and incurred in their own persons the inevitable penalty for their perverseness.

But, if they cannot control themselves, let them marry, for it is better to marry than to be consumed with passion.
