And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou let this man go, thou art not Cesar's friend. Whoever maketh himself a king, speaketh against Cesar.
Jesus saith to them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.
Then they that gladly received his word, were baptized: and the same day there were added to them about three thousand souls.
But many of them who heard the word, believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.
