"Truly, truly I say to you, that an hour is coming--and now is [here]--when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and the ones who hear will live.
"Here is a boy who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are these for so many [people]?"
And [when they] found him on the other side of the sea, they said to him, "Rabbi, when did you get here?"
So his brothers said to him, "Depart from here and go to Judea, so that your disciples also can see your works that you are doing.
Now the scribes and the Pharisees brought to him a woman caught in adultery. And standing her in [their] midst,
And when they persisted in asking him, straightening up he said to them, "The [one] of you without sin, let him throw the first stone at her!"
So Jesus, straightening up and seeing no one except the woman, said to her, "Where are those accusers of yours? Does no one condemn you?"
Now a certain man was sick, Lazarus from Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha.
(Now it was Mary who anointed the Lord with perfumed oil and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.)
(Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus.)
So Martha said to Jesus, "Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me, even if he dies, will live,
And [when she] had said this, she went and called her sister Mary privately, saying, "The Teacher is here and is calling for you."
So the Jews who were with her in the house and were consoling her, [when they] saw Mary--that she stood up quickly and went out--followed her, [because they] thought that she was going to the tomb in order to weep there.
Then Mary, when she came where Jesus was [and] saw him, fell at his feet, saying to him, "Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died."
Then Jesus, when he saw her weeping and the Jews who came with her weeping, was deeply moved in spirit and was troubled within himself.
Jesus said to her, "Did I not say to you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?"
Then Mary took a pound of ointment of very valuable genuine nard [and] anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the ointment.
So Jesus said, "Leave her alone, so that she may keep it for the day of my preparation for burial.
But so that the world may know that I love the Father, and just as the Father has commanded me, thus I am doing. Get up, let us go from here!
A woman, when she gives birth, experiences pain because her hour has come. But when [her] child is born, she no longer remembers the affliction, on account of the joy that a human being has been born into the world.
Jesus replied, "My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would be fighting so that I would not be handed over to the Jews. But now my kingdom is not from here."
Then he said to the disciple, "Behold your mother!" And from that hour the disciple took her into his own [home].
And they said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping?" She said to them, "They have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have put him!"
Jesus said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping? Who are you looking for?" She thought that it was the gardener, [and] said to him, "Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will take him."
Jesus said to her, "Mary." She turned around [and] said to him in Aramaic, "Rabboni" (which means "Teacher").
Jesus said to her, "Do not touch me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and tell them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, and my God and your God.'"
Mary Magdalene came [and] announced to the disciples, "I have seen the Lord," and he had said these [things] to her.
Then he said to Thomas, "Place your finger here and see my hands, and place your hand and put [it] into my side. And do not be unbelieving, but believing!"
And Peter said to her, "Tell me whether you [both] were paid this much [for] the piece of land." And she said, "Yes, this much."
So Peter [said] to her, "How [is it] that it was agreed by you [two] to test the Spirit of the Lord? Behold, the feet of those who buried your husband [are] at the door, and they will carry you out!"
And immediately she fell down at his feet and died. So [when] the young men came in, they found her dead, and carried [her] out [and] buried [her] with her husband.
and [when] he was abandoned, the daughter of Pharaoh took him [up] and brought him [up] {as her own son}.
And he got up [and] went, and behold, [there was] a man, an Ethiopian eunuch (a court official of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, who was over all her treasury) who had come to worship in Jerusalem
Now there was a certain disciple in Damascus {named} Ananias, and the Lord said to him in a vision, "Ananias!" And he said, "Behold, [here] I [am], Lord!"
and here he has authority from the chief priests to tie up all who call upon your name!"
And all who heard [him] were amazed, and were saying, "Is this not the one who was wreaking havoc in Jerusalem [on] those who call upon this name, and had come here for this [reason], that he could bring them tied up to the chief priests?"
Now it happened that in those days [after] becoming sick, she died. And [after] washing [her], they placed her in an upstairs room.
But Peter sent [them] all outside, and, falling to [his] knees, he prayed. And turning toward the body, he said, "Tabitha, get up!" And she opened her eyes, and [when she] saw Peter, she sat up.
And he gave her [his] hand [and] raised her up. And he called the saints and the widows [and] presented her alive.
And recognizing Peter's voice, because of [her] joy she did not open the gate, but ran in [and] announced [that] Peter was standing at the gate.
But they said to her, "You are out of your mind!" But she kept insisting it was so. And they kept saying, "It is his angel!"
And a certain woman {named} Lydia from the city of Thyatira, a merchant dealing in purple cloth who showed reverence for God, was listening. The Lord opened {her} heart to pay attention to what was being said by Paul.
And after she was baptized, and her household, she urged [us], saying, "If you consider me to be a believer in the Lord, come to my house [and] stay." And she prevailed upon us.
And it happened that [as] we were going to the place of prayer, a certain female slave who had a spirit of divination met us, who was bringing a large profit to her owners [by] fortune-telling.
And she was doing this for many days. But Paul, becoming greatly annoyed and turning around, said to the spirit, "I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her!" And it came out {immediately}.
But [when] her owners saw that their hope of profit was gone, they seized Paul and Silas [and] dragged [them] into the marketplace before the rulers.
But Paul called out with a loud voice, saying, "Do no harm to yourself, for we are all here!"
And [when they] did not find them, they dragged Jason and some brothers before the city officials, shouting, "These [people] who have stirred up trouble [throughout] the world have come here also,
So not only is there a danger this line of business of ours [will] come into disrepute, but also the temple of the great goddess Artemis [will] be regarded as nothing--and [she] is about to be brought down even from her grandeur, [she] whom the whole [of] Asia and the [entire] world worship!"
And [when] the city secretary had quieted the crowd, he said, "Ephesian men, for who is there among men who does not know the Ephesian city is honorary temple keeper of the great Artemis and of [her] image fallen from heaven?
For you have brought these men [here] [who are] neither temple robbers nor blasphemers of our goddess.
Therefore, [when] they had assembled here, made no delay; on the next [day] I sat down on the judgment seat [and] gave orders [for] the man to be brought.
And Festus said, "King Agrippa and all who are present with us, you see this man about whom the whole population of the Jews appealed to me, both in Jerusalem and here, shouting [that] he must not live any longer.
And now I stand here on trial on the basis of hope in the promise made by God to our fathers,
Therefore I have experienced help from God until this day, [and] I stand here testifying to both small and great, saying nothing except what both the prophets and Moses have said were going to happen,
For the married woman is bound by law to [her] husband while he lives, but if her husband dies, she is released from the law of the husband.

To the married I command--not I, but the Lord--a wife must not separate from [her] husband.
But if indeed she does separate, she must remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband. And a husband must not divorce [his] wife.
Now to the rest I say--not the Lord--if any brother has an unbelieving wife and she consents to live with him, he must not divorce her.
And if any wife has an unbelieving husband and he consents to live with her, she must not divorce her husband.
and he is divided. And the unmarried woman or the virgin cares for the things of the Lord, in order that she may be holy both in body and in spirit. But the married woman cares for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.
But if anyone thinks he is behaving dishonorably concerning his virgin, if she is past her prime and it ought to be thus, let him do what he wishes. He does not sin. Let them marry.
So then, the one who marries his own virgin does well, and the one who does not marry [her] will do better.
A wife is bound for as long a time [as] her husband lives. But if her husband {dies}, she is free to marry whomever she wishes, only in the Lord.
but every woman who prays or prophesies with uncovered head dishonors her head, for she is one and the same with the one whose [head] is shaved.

And the two wings of a great eagle were given to the woman, in order that she could fly into the wilderness, to her place where she is fed there [for] a time, and times, and half a time, from the presence of the serpent.
