Wherefore thus sayeth the LORD God of Hosts, "Because ye speak such words, behold: The words that are in thy mouth will I turn to fire, and make the people to be wood, that it may consume them.

One man is granted words of wisdom by the Spirit, another words of knowledge by the same Spirit;

So when I come, I shall bring up what he is doing, babbling against me with wicked words ??and, not satisfied with words, he refuses to welcome the brothers, checks those who want to welcome them, and excommunicates them from the church.

Be turned again by my sharp words: see, I will send the flow of my spirit on you, and make my words clear to you.

What will come on us, if we do not give our minds to such a great salvation? a salvation of which our fathers first had knowledge through the words of the Lord, and which was made certain to us by those to whom his words came;

He who says words of protest to a man will later have more approval than one who says smooth words with his tongue.

A servant will not be trained by words; for though the sense of the words is clear to him, he will not give attention.

But she was greatly troubled at his words, and said to herself, What may be the purpose of these words?

It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he gives his beloved sleep.

And they shall know that I am the LORD, and that I have not said in vain that I would do this evil to them.

knowing that ye were redeemed, not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, from your vain manner of life handed down from your fathers;

Ye say, It is vain to serve God; and what profit is it that we keep his charge, and that we walk mournfully before Jehovah of hosts?

He that tills his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that follows vain persons is void of understanding.

Because of this, I too, no longer covering over it, sent in order to know your faith, lest somehow he who tempts was tempting you, and our labor became in vain.
