But the chief priests stirred up the crowd that he might rather release Barabbas to them.
And Pilate, desirous of contenting the crowd, released to them Barabbas, and delivered up Jesus, when he had scourged him, that he might be crucified.
And the soldiers led him away within the court, which is the Praetorium; and they call together the whole band.

And it came to pass, on the next day, when they were come down from the mountain, a great multitude met him.

Do not carry a money bag or a traveler's bag or sandals, and greet no one along the road.
"I tell you that it will be more endurable for Sodom on the great day than for that town.
Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which have been done in you, they had a great while ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
At length the seventy return'd with great joy, saying, Lord, even the demons have been made subject to us by virtue of your name.
