be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead,by him doth this man stand here before you sound.
This is the stone which was set at nought by you the builders, which is become a cornerstone.
But that it spread no further among the people, let us strictly forbid them with threats to speak any longer in this name to any one.
For the man was above forty years old, on whom this sign of the healing had been wrought.
