For you see your calling, brothers, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble [are called];

For if you have ten thousand teachers in Christ still you have not many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you by the gospel.

For even if there are those called Gods, whether in heaven or on earth, as there are many gods and many lords,

but with many of them God was not pleased; for they were destroyed in the wilderness.

For we, being many, are one bread, one body; for we all partake of the one bread.

as I also please all in all things, not seeking my own profit but that of many, that they may be saved.

For this reason many are weak and sick among you and some sleep.

For as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body being many are one body, so also is Christ;

For the body also is not one member but many.

But now there are many members, but one body.

There are perhaps as many kinds of voices in the world, and no one is without significance;

for a great and effectual door is opened to me, and there are many adversaries.
