He measured the east side with a measuring rod;
it was 875 feet by the measuring rod.

then I will call their rebellion
to account with the rod,
their sin with blows.

Then the mob joined in the attack against them, and the chief magistrates stripped off their clothes and ordered them to be beaten with rods.

Wisdom is found on the lips of the discerning,
but a rod is for the back of the one who lacks sense.

The one who will not use the rod hates his son,
but the one who loves him disciplines him diligently.

his limbs are like iron rods.

My people consult their wooden idols,
and their divining rods inform them.
For a spirit of promiscuity leads them astray;

“Pay attention to the rod

The Lord answered Moses, “Go on ahead of the people and take some of the elders of Israel with you. Take the staff you struck the Nile with in your hand and go.
