for then must he have often suffered since the world began: But now in the end of the world, hath he appeared once, to put sin to flight, by the offering up of himself.






For I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to them which are no Greeks, unto the learned and also unto the unlearned.



What reward shall I give unto the LORD, for all the benefits that he hath done unto me?








He that saith how that he is in the light, and yet hateth his brother, is in darkness even until this time. He that loveth his brother, abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of offending in him.

We know that we are translated from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother, abideth in death. Whosoever hateth his brother, is a man slayer. And ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. Hereby are we assured of love: because he left his life for us: And therefore we ought also to give our lives for our brethren. read more.
He, then, that hath the substance of the world, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his compassion from him: how dwelleth the love of God in him? My little children, let us not love in word, nor with the tongue: but with the deed, and of a truth:

Dearly beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God. And all that love are born of God, and knoweth God. And he that loveth not, knoweth not God: for God is love. Herein appeared the love of God to us ward, because that God sent his only begotten son into the world, that we should live through him. read more.
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his son to make a satisfaction for our sins. Dearly beloved, if God so loved us, then we ought also to love one another.

And the LORD said unto Moses, "Rise up early in the morning and stand before Pharaoh and tell him, 'Thus sayeth the LORD God of the Hebrews: Let my people go, that they may serve me, or else I will at this time send all my plagues upon thine heart and upon thy servants and on thy people, that you mayest know that there is none like me in all the earth. Yet in very deed for this cause have I stirred thee up, for to show my power in thee, and to declare my name throughout all the world.

Herein appeared the love of God to us ward, because that God sent his only begotten son into the world, that we should live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his son to make a satisfaction for our sins.


I would they were wise, and understood this, and would consider their latter end.'

Oh that they had such a heart with them to fear me and keep all my commandments always, that it might go well with them and with their children forever.

Yea, and the son of man is come to save that which is lost. How think ye? If a man have a hundred sheep, and one of them should be gone astray, doth he not leave ninety and nine in the mountains, and go and seek that one which is gone astray? If it happen that he find him, verily I say unto you, He rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine, which went not astray. read more.
Even so, it is not the will of your father in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.

For God so loveth the world, that he hath given his only son, for the intent that none that believe in him should perish: But should have everlasting life. For God sent not his son into the world, to condemn the world: But that the world, through him, might be saved.
