as you know how we exhorted and comforted you, as a father each one of his own children, and charged you to walk worthily of God who calls you into his kingdom and glory.

But we ought to thank God always for you, brothers beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you to salvation by purification of spirit, and belief of the truth, to which he called you by our gospel, to obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

And walking by the lake of Galilee he saw two brothers, Simon, called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. And he said to them, Come after me, and I will make you fishermen of men. And they left their nets, immediately, and followed him. read more.
