Have I conceived all these people? Have I begotten them, that thou should say unto me, Carry them in thy bosom, as a nurse carries a sucking child, unto the land which thou hast sworn unto their fathers? read more.
Where should I find flesh to give unto all these people? For they weep unto me, saying, Give us flesh that we may eat. I am not able to bear all these people alone because it is too heavy for me. And if thou must deal thus with me, kill me, I pray thee, out of hand, if I have found grace in thy sight; and let me not see my wretchedness.

And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still and see the saving health of the LORD, which he will bestow on you today; for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall never see them again for ever. The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall be still.

And the whole congregation of the sons of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness; and the sons of Israel said unto them, It would have been better if we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots and when we ate bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.

And in the morning ye shall see the glory of the LORD; for he has heard your murmurings against the LORD; and what are we, that ye murmur against us? And Moses said, This shall be when the LORD shall give you in the evening flesh to eat and in the morning bread to the full; for the LORD has heard your murmurings which ye have murmured against him; and what are we? Your murmurings are not against us, but against the LORD.


And when Moses heard it, he fell upon his face; and he spoke unto Korah and unto all his company, saying, Tomorrow the LORD will show who are his and who is holy and will cause the one who is holy to come near unto him; the one whom he has chosen he will cause to come near unto him. Let me alone that I may destroy them and blot out their name from under heaven; and I will make of thee a nation mightier and greater than they.
