because to you has been given, as regards Christ, not only the believing on him but the suffering for him also,
For I say, through the grace which has been given to me, to every one that is among you, not to have high thoughts above what he should think; but to think so as to be wise, as God has dealt to each a measure of faith.
For ye are saved by grace, through faith; and this not of yourselves; it is God's gift:
Peace to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

According to the grace of God which has been given to me, as a wise architect, I have laid the foundation, but another builds upon it. But let each see how he builds upon it.

For let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus;
He hath shewn thee, O man, what is good: and what doth Jehovah require of thee, but to do justly, and to love goodness, and to walk humbly with thy God?

So then do not let us sleep as the rest do, but let us watch and be sober; for they that sleep sleep by night, and they that drink drink by night; but we being of the day, let us be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as helmet the hope of salvation;
