Isn't this the carpenter's son? Isn't his mother named Mary? And aren't his brothers James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas?

We know that God has spoken to Moses! We do not know where this man comes from!"

For I have come down from heaven not to do my own will but the will of the one who sent me.

then he says, "Here I am: I have come to do your will." He does away with the first to establish the second.

Then Jesus, because he knew they were going to come and seize him by force to make him king, withdrew again up the mountainside alone.

"I do not accept praise from people,

Isn't this the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And aren't his sisters here with us?" And so they took offense at him.

You should have the same attitude toward one another that Christ Jesus had, who though he existed in the form of God did not regard equality with God as something to be grasped, but emptied himself by taking on the form of a slave, by looking like other men, and by sharing in human nature. read more.

As Jesus was having a meal in Matthew's house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with Jesus and his disciples. When the Pharisees saw this they said to his disciples, "Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?"

So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to the city of David called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family line of David. Then he went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was obedient to them. But his mother kept all these things in her heart.
